Kincardine Bulldogs down, 2-0, against Fergus in second round of playoffs
The Kincardine Bulldogs are down, 2-0, against the Fergus Whalers, in the second round of playoffs in the Pollock Division of the Provincial Junior Hockey League.
Saturday night, at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine, the Whalers defeated the home team, 5-2.
Scoring for Kincardine, were Tyler Wagler from Nathan Lavender and Cole Lewis; and Tyler Kelly from Lewis.
Bulldogs goalie Rowen Cherrett made 34 saves on 39 shots.
Sunday afternoon in Fergus, the Whalers slammed the 'Dogs, 6-2.
Scoring for the Bulldogs, were Cade Moffat from Leland Weber and Ty McQuillin; and Wyatt Thomas from Weber.
Fergus had 42 shots on goal, compared to 20 from Kincardine.
Cherrett made 16 saves on 21 shots, while his fellow goalie, Blake Beitz, made 20 saves on 21 shots.
Game 3 runs in Fergus, Wednesday, March 11, at 8:45 p.m., with Game 4 back in Kincardine, Friday, March 13, at 8:30 p.m.
If necessary, Game 5 runs Sunday, March 15, in Fergus at 3 p.m.; Game 6 is in Kincardine, Tuesday, March 17, at 8 p.m.; and Game 7 runs Wednesday, March 18, in Fergus at 8:45 p.m.
